CCE Italia develops, realises and operates large ground-mounted PV systems and innovative solutions for the energy transition throughout Italy. Based in Jesi (province of Ancona, central Italy), we have been realizing large-scale solar parks since 2010 and we were pioneers in grid parity projects (built without state support).

Agrivoltaic
Solar solutions customised to the needs of farmers
Agri-photovoltaics combines the advantages of photovoltaics with agricultural activities. CCE Italia is a pioneer in the integration of PV systems with agriculture since 2019, we have been designing ground-mounted PV systems on agricultural land in close connection with farm activities - even before the first regulatory requirements for agrivoltaics were published in Italy.
This approach offers numerous advantages for farmers: the photovoltaic systems protect crops from extreme weather conditions and reduce the need for irrigation, thereby cutting costs. At the same time, new opportunities are created for low profitable areas and a better livelihood for pollinators is also ensured.
Agri-photovoltaics makes it possible to generate clean energy and increase agricultural yields at the same time. This technology thus contributes to the resilience of agriculture to the challenges of climate change.

Ground mounted PV
Harnessing the sun: ground-mounted PV systems
Ground-mounted PV systems are one of the most efficient and cost-effective methods of generating clean energy and play a key role in the energy transition. They contribute to achieving national and international climate targets, such as Italy's goal of reaching a 30% share of renewable energy sources by 2030 and the EU's goal of becoming climate neutral by 2050.
These systems offer many advantages: they maximise energy production while leaving the ground unsealed and assure easy installation and maintenance. Studies also show that ground-mounted PV systems foster biodiversity and benefit the soil.
Ground-mounted PV systems are therefore an important building block for achieving a sustainable and stable energy future.

Battery storage systems (BESS)
BESS - Battery Energy Storage Systems
CCE Italia is committed to providing innovative solutions for the full integration of renewable energies into the national grid and for grid stability. An important part of this approach is the flexibilisation of the energy market. BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) play a key role here. Battery storage systems make it possible to store surplus energy generated by renewable sources and feed it back into the grid when required. In this way, the energy supply is always guaranteed, even if the generation of renewable energy fluctuates.
CCE Italia focuses on the efficiently use of these technologies in order to guarantee a stable energy supply and meet the challenges of the energy transition.

Hydrogen
Green hydrogen solutions for an efficient energy transition
Green hydrogen is a great ally of decarbonization and flexibilization. Renewable energy can be used to produce green hydrogen to, for example, power the transport sector or supplement demand for natural gas.
In addition, hydrogen can be stored and converted back into electricity to be fed into the grid when needed

Corporate PPA for a reliable and cost-effective energy supply
CCE Italia relies on the expertise of the dedicated, in-house CCE Energy Market Team to structure competitive Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for the sale of renewable energy generated by its plants.
By doing so, it supports companies – particularly energy-intensive ones - on their journey toward more sustainable and cost-effective production. PPAs provide companies with a long-term, reliable, and cost-effective supply of renewable energy, thereby contributing to the acceleration of the energy transition.
