Welcome to CCE The Netherlands
CCE The Netherlands focuses, in close collaboration with the headquarters in Vienna, on the implementation and operation of ground-mounted solar energy projects, preferably in combination with battery storage systems (BESS - Battery Energy Storage System). We acquire projects from third parties when they are ready for construction (Ready-to-Build). This means that all permits have been obtained, preparations completed, and necessary funding approved.
CCE works with a multidisciplinary team of national and international specialists in the areas of design, technology, financing, taxation, legal matters, and sale of the generated electricity. This team ensures that projects are optimally implemented and operated after purchase. External legal and technical specialists support this process, while the construction is carried out by experienced external partners with a proven track record.
Collaboration with developers, external funders, network operators, provinces, municipalities, builders, and residents is of central importance. CCE The Netherlands explicitly considers the interests of all parties involved. Residents are given the opportunity to financially benefit from each project through citizen participation. Furthermore, in line with CCE's international ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) guidelines, we place great emphasis on the natural environment. A specific budget for flora and fauna is reserved for each project within and around the projects.
The choice of location for our projects reflects our focus on sustainability and innovation. For example, we develop solar parks on former landfills, where the soil has been remediated to prevent pollution. Since these areas are unsuitable for residential construction, we use them sustainably for the generation of renewable energy - a win-win situation for people and the environment.
CCE Netherlands is always open to strategic partnerships with parties that share its vision and goals. This includes not only ground-mounted solar power projects but also BESS as well as hydrogen production and storage.

Solar parks: sustainable energy with a focus on nature.
Solar parks are an efficient and effective way to generate sustainable energy. By utilizing open spaces, we can create large-scale solar parks that contribute to the energy transition and provide affordable, green energy. A solar park can accommodate a variety of modules and optimally harness sunlight without permanently covering the ground.
At CCE The Netherlands, we go beyond mere energy generation. We develop solar parks in close consultation with local residents and aim to make a positive contribution to the environment. Biodiversity and nature integration play a central role in our approach. We ensure ecologically responsible management by, for example, using sheep for grazing and setting up beehives, as in our project in 's-Heer Arendskerke, Zeeland. As a pioneer within the CCE Holding, we test and develop innovative ways to combine solar parks with nature restoration, making this approach internationally applicable. In this way, we not only create renewable energy but also a healthier living environment.

Photovoltaics on industrial roofs
Solar panels on roofs as an efficient energy solution.
Roofs provide an ideal opportunity to convert unused space into sustainable sources of energy. By placing solar panels on roofs, we generate electricity on-site without consuming additional land. This directly contributes to the energy transition and reduces energy costs for businesses and organizations.
CCE The Netherlands has extensive experience in the development and operation of solar energy systems on various roofs, such as public buildings, industrial complexes, and agricultural properties. With our expertise, we ensure efficient and reliable systems, allowing owners to benefit from affordable, green energy while contributing to a more sustainable future.

Battery storage systems (BESS)
Battery storage systems ensure a stable and flexible energy system.
For a successful energy transition, a stable and flexible electricity grid is essential. Battery energy storage systems (BESS) play a crucial role in this. At CCE The Netherlands, we combine energy generation, storage, and grid feed-in to better align supply and demand and reduce grid overloads. This ensures that excess solar energy is stored and available even when the sun is not shining.
We are currently constructing a BESS facility in our solar park in 's-Heer Arendskerke, Zeeland, for which the permit has been granted and the design is ready. With our expertise in the development, construction, and operation of battery storage systems, we deliver secure and reliable solutions. In doing so, we strengthen the energy system and make sustainable energy even more efficiently usable.

Energy Management
Capacity building for a stable and sustainable energy supply
The sale of the generated energy is a crucial factor for the success of renewable energy projects. At CCE The Netherlands, we focus on the development and implementation of well-thought-out energy market strategies that ensure long-term stability and returns.
We negotiate and conclude power purchase agreements (PPAs) for both utility companies (Utility PPAs) and business customers (Corporate PPAs). In addition, we offer electricity sales within the framework of contracting models, through which we implement customized and financially sustainable solutions for our customers.
