The international photovoltaic specialist CCE, based in Vienna, is starting the construction of the first of several planned photovoltaic projects in Romania. By autumn 2024, the 40-megawatt solar power plant will be connected to the Romanian electricity grid in the northwest of the country. The 40-megawatt PV power plant is being built on an area of 50 hectares in the Arad region. 68,302 high-performance photovoltaic modules, each with 590 watts of power, will produce green electricity for nearly 25,000 households in the future. CCE aims to have the state-of-the-art photovoltaic power plant operational by the autumn of next year. An Austrian partnership with Raiffeisen Bank International has been secured for the financing of the project.
